Dr. Lexie

Founder/CEO

I am Alecia Bryan DNP, MSN, BA, RN, FNP-C founder and CEO of Island Hope International. It is said that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Access to healthcare should be a human right regardless of one’s socioeconomic status. With this in mind, it is my desire to promote health and wellness to my fellow West Indians internationally.

Brand Ambassador

My name is Beverly Morgan and I have my Bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology. I am passionate about wellness in the community and promote it as much as I can with friends, family, and people around me.

Living a balanced lifestyle is very important especially relating to the mind, body, and soul. Changing one individual’s life simply by listening, giving advice, or just a smile can make a difference in the community and that is what I am here to do.

Help me as we serve to make the Caribbean community together through Island Hope.

Dr. Shazzanne Pennant

Community Health Director

My upbringing in the Caribbean, along with combined experience volunteering in the community, and conducting clinical research under the tutelage of the National Institutes of Health has propelled me to a life of service.

Currently, I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and am pursuing a Medical Doctorate in the U.S. I am also working on completing a Family Medicine Residency. My responsibility and passion to be my brother and sister’s keeper is part of the reason why I joined Island Hope Int’l (IHI).

Serving as Community Health Director at IHI has provided a great opportunity for me to become part of a legacy that upholds service and quality in patient care.

Davonie Green

Director of Mental Health

My name is Davonie Green. I am the Director of Mental Health for Island Hope International. I hold a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University.

Mental health is an important element of wellness but is seldom considered important among those in the Caribbean and the wider diaspora. With this opportunity, I hope to promote awareness about the importance of mental health, prevention, and symptom management through regular blogs, health fairs, training, and skill-building exercises.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are we doing for others” -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This is my philosophy.
